About ICAS
Welcome to International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS)!
ICAS is a school-based assessment; it is conducted annually around August to September at each participating school. Subjects assessed for Indonesian students are English, Mathematics, Science, Computer Skills and Writing for Year 4 – Year 12 students equal to Kelas 4 Sekolah Dasar (SD) to Kelas 3 Sekolah Menengah Umum (SMU).
ICAS test is designed to identify the highest achieving students, provides comprehensive diagnostic information for schools and teachers, and enable parents and schools to compare students’ results against the performance of other students in Indonesia. The comprehensive reporting of results can be used to monitor individual progress in a range of skills and to recognize and reward achievement, and it also gives parents helpful information regarding their child’s performance.
All students receive a Certificate and an individual Student Report indicating which questions they answered correctly, as well as the average mark for the state/region. The Student Report is also useful for highlighting students’ strengths and weaknesses in the skills and processes of Writing, English, Mathematics, Science and Computer Skills.
